Port Logan lies south of Stranraer and Portpatrick close to Drummore and
the Mull of Galloway, Scotland's Land's End.
This idyllic location is just over four hours drive from Manchester
and just under two hours from Glasgow and an hour and 15 minutes from central Ayr.
By road: You will travel from
the north on the A77 or from the east on the A75. If you come from the north, just as you enter Stranraer, take the road marked
to Portpatrick. After you have left Stranraer, follow the signs for Drummore and then for the turnoff to Port Logan.
If you come from the east, there is a turnoff for Drummore a few miles before Stranraer, also posted for the Logan Botanical
Gardens. Follow the signs to the gardens, which you will pass - Port Logan is about a mile further on.
By ferry:
Port Logan is a 30 minute drive from Cairnryan's P&O terminal with sailings to and from from Larne and 35 minutes
from Stena's new Loch Ryan Port with sailings to and from Belfast. (The new Stena port is due to open in November 2011).
