The Port Logan Bay Hotel, formerly the Port Logan Inn, dates back
to 1640 and was originally a workhouse before becoming an inn.
The new owners have many plans for the expansion
of the Port Logan Bay Hotel including the construction of a stunning two storey conservatory using the original Yorkshire
stone and ironwork conservatory which formed the frontage of the Harrogate Roman Baths up until 30 years ago.
This
new feature will give an uninterrupted viewpoint over the picturesque village harbour out to sea from the upstairs bedrooms
and ground floor restaurant and increase the number of letting rooms from the present three.
The plans have the
support of village residents, community councillors and the Wigtownshire Chamber of Commerce and are due to be submitted to
Dumfries and Galloway Council shortly.
Will add ongoing updates to this website. Please check back regularly.
